Travelling to Kassel
Overview
By Car
Quick and flexible.
Kassel’s central location provides good road links to major motorways - A7, A44 and A49 – as well as 4 adjoining main roads.
Travelling with Deutsche Bahn (German Rail Network)
Practical and convenient.
“Off to Kassel” with the Intercity Express or Euro-City service that arrives every hour at the Wilhelmshöhe intercity railway station. The regional services take passengers to the Kulturbahnhof, a disused railway station-cum-cultural venue in Kassel and the only one of its kind in Germany.
Travelling by Plane
Reach your destination quickly and comfortably.
Our commercial airport Kassel-Calden is only about 30 minutes from the city centre. Kassel can also be easily accessed from the Paderborn-Lippstadt regional airport and the international airports at Frankfurt on Main and Hanover via the A5/A7 and/or A44 motorways as well as via the intercity express and the Eurocity train connection.
