Motoring in Kassel
Kassel has an extensive road network. Driving a car in Kassel is more relaxing than in other major cities because Kassel’s roads are not overcrowded and there are enough parking spaces. In the city centre we recommend using multi-storey car parks which are easy to find as they are well signposted. Should you wish to park some distance from the city centre, you can take advantage of our good public transport services and travel by bus or tram. Free parking is also available in the Karlsaue Park/Orangery palace area. From there, it is only a short walk to the city centre.
